About This Game

Guns N’ Boxes is a top-down single screen arena-style multiplayer shooter in which you shoot boxes, collect random weapons and use special items to unleash destruction upon everything that moves! Choose your favorite character from across the space-time continuum and duke it out using rifles, hot dog launchers, rail guns, tomatoes, arrows and tons of other weapons.

I can\u00b4t stop playing this game is amazing, the price of the game is my best investment after my subscription to brassers I really like all the characters and weapons especially Washington and the banana launcher, the game has some bugs but it 's just an early access and I can\u00b4t stop playing it!!! I really recommend it!!!!
So what are you waiting for to play it?. Essentially Enter the Gungeon, before it was refined into gold.

This game does show potential. plenty of guns, cute characters, the mechanics for the player is there, and do feel good, and I do genuinly want to see this game shine. That being said, there is a lot lacking, and while thats understandable, some of it is rather unforgivable.
Yes, this is In EA, but it's lacking enough to a point where I say it's too soon. Bosses have no sound effects, same with anything other then the most common enemies and objects (and yes, lacking audio cues in a game all about hair trigger reactions is a pretty big deal) marks the biggest flaw.
aside from that, the supposed RNG in shooting open boxes to drop guns is virtually nonexistant, with each level featuring the same four guns each run, usually finding one or more of each in every room. Without the level of randomization that games like this are known for, it will never get off the ground. There's no thrill and excitment from wondering if your going to get your game winning weapon from each and every box, making it feel boring. I only just shoot stuff to get it out of my way once I find what I'm looking for, which happens almost as soon as I enter a new area. thats a problem.
Aside from that, those are really the only problems an easy to please person like myself sees. Once these are fixed, which are easy enough issues to fix at that, grabbing some stock sound FXs, making gun drops much rarer and largly randomized, I would recommend this as a great shoot and loot.

In short, there IS potential here, it just hasn't be realized yet.. I bought it because the multiplayer looks awesome, but there is no one playing. I can't recommend it at this time.. Hi guys. We've updated the game to #9. Patch notes are below.

This week we finished our level editor tool. This lets us easily prototype and iterate new maps. You can take a look at how it works here.

Hello,. Patch Notes - Update #10:
Hi everyone.

We've updated the game to version #10. Patch notes are below.

We've added support for Windows 32-bit operating systems. If you couldn't run the game because of an "Invalid Platform" error it should now be resolved.
We've also added Sudden Death rounds, a tie-break that pits all players with max score against each other with a single random weapon. Good luck!

Hi everyone.

Update #7 is up. Friend invites are now available!

Please note that until we improve the game's ui there's no ingame option to invite friends. In an online lobby simply open the Steam Overlay and make an invite from the chat window. If you receive an invite please check that you're not currently in an ongoing match before accepting.

We noticed some issues with the launch of the singleplayer update today.

Here are some squashed bugs:

• Fixed issue where remote players wouldn't receive damage during online matches
  
• Fixed issue where npc encounters would result in a softlock
  
• Fixed issue where Mac build would crash on startup
  
• Fixed issue where some prompts would scale outside the screen when changing controllers inside the shop room
  
• Reduced twitch health and money command cooltimes
  
• Added randomize gun command to twitch command pool
  
• Added developer tool for better bug reporting. Press 0 on the top bar to toggle this option before sending a screenshot

Hello!. Patch Notes - Update #4:
Another round of bug fixes. Build is now Update 4.

FIXED:
- Fixed issue where Unet would disconnect all players due to bandwidth limit.
- Fixed an uncommon issue where players would appear dead at the start of a new round.
- Fixed timescale not resetting when exiting the pause menu on local matches.

CHANGED:
- Network traffic has been greatly reduced.
- Weather is now randomized.

Online should be more stable now, but as always if you come across any bugs let us know. Next update should include some bullet syncronization fixes.. Patch Notes - Update #1:
Hi everyone.

Sorry for the bumpy start. I'm already working on fixing issues, starting with online matches.

The current game build is now 'Update 1'.

FIXED:
- Fixed issue where online listing showed ghost matches.
- Fixed issue where clients could not open the pause menu.

There's an issue where players can join matches already in progress. If this happens the map will not load and will be replaced with black. This is next on the list, but as a workaround clients can now exit the match via the pause menu.

Lan and local matches should not have quite as much problems. If you encounter a bug please let us know.

We're updating the game to version #12. This patch is meant to fix lan and online syncronization issues, as well as improve how the game handles player connections and data. The specifics are below, but expect to see smoother gameplay and better latency in lan games. If you had issues with lan matches in previous versions please try again with this patch and let us know if anything breaks. We'd also like some feedback if the lan search feature is working correctly.
